Cost of acupuncture in London: fertility, insomnia
Barbican Acupuncture’s current tariff card is below (effective 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2010). All timings are approximate. Please inform us if you are pressed for time and we will ensure your session is concluded within a time frame that suits you. Where applicable, VAT at the appropriate rate(s) has been included within all prices quoted.
Acupuncture
Initial consultation & acupuncture
Sessions tend to include in-depth consultation, diagnosis, preparation of action plan, acupuncture therapy and lifestyle & dietary advice. Tuina (Chinese medicinal massage) and cupping therapy may also be employed.
Duration: 75 minutes
Cost: £80
Follow-up consultation & acupuncture
Sessions tend to include consultation, updates to diagnosis & action plan, acupuncture and a review of lifestyle & dietary advice. Tuina (Chinese medicinal massage) and cupping therapy may also be employed.
Duration: 50 minutes
Cost: £65
Depending on your condition, a course of individually tailored herbal capsules may be appropriate. Our herbal prescriptions are made from the finest quality concentrated powders and vegetable-based capsules. Prescriptions are normally available for collection/delivery within 24 hours of the consultation. A bespoke herbal capsule prescription costs an additional £19 for a 1-2 week supply.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Initial consultation
Sessions tend to include in-depth consultation, diagnosis, preparation of action plan and lifestyle & dietary advice.
Duration: 45 minutes
Cost: £61 plus £19 for a 1-2 week course of bespoke herbal capsules
Follow-up consultation
Sessions tend to include consultation, updates to diagnosis & action plan and a review of lifestyle & dietary advice.
Duration: 30 minutes
Cost: £46 plus £19 for a 1-2 week course of bespoke herbal capsules

Stop smoking
Our stop smoking course consists of four sessions (one per week for four weeks). Each session includes acupuncture and auricular acupressure therapy.
Duration: 4 sessions of around 40 minutes each
Cost: 4 sessions at £49 each (£196 in total)
Weight loss
Our weight loss course consists of either eight or twelve sessions (one per week for eight or twelve weeks). Each session includes acupuncture, auricular acupressure therapy and lifestyle & dietary advice.
Duration: 8 or 12 sessions of around 40 minutes each
Cost: 8 or 12 sessions at £49 each (£392 or £588 in total)

We accept payment by cash, cheque (with guarantee card), American Express and most debit and credit cards. We are registered with Aviva and so you may be able to be referred under your Aviva private health insurance. It may also be possible for you to claim reimbursement of your fees from other private health insurers. Please speak to Aviva or your private health insurer for details.
